Wanneer het authentieke country en/of rockabilly betreft zitten ze in Zweden op de eerste rij en dus ook het "Mike Teardrop Trio". Met het uitbrengen van dun debuutlabum "Hangin' Around" in 2017 waren ze in onze contreien nog relatief onbekend maar kwam dit album hun wel op de kaart te zetten.

Succes doet iets met een mens en zo is er nu "Till The Dawn" en met een ietsje meer originals als op "Hangin' Around" klinken ze nu ook nog meer authentieker. Hun rockabilly/country retro sound werkt echt verslavend met nummers als titeltrack "Till The Dawn" en "That Extra Mile " beiden van de hand van gitarist Rasmus Andersson. Deze nummers staan moeiteloos te blinken tussen evergreens als Faron Young's "I’m Gonna Live Some Before I Die".

Hun affectie met namen als onder meer Conway Twitty of een Johnny Horton blijft zonder al teveel moeite ook op deze nieuwe plaat behouden. Ook nu houden dit "Mike Teardrop Trio" de band met de vintage sound zeer strak in een perfecte balans met rockabilly en country. Real jukebox music uit de happy days met nummers als "Hey Waitress" en het uptempo "Down To The The Corner".

Afsluiter van dit swingende "Till The Dawn" is de honky tonk geïnspireerde titeltrack maar er is uiteraard ook finest rockabilly met "Twenty-One" en "Two Timing Mama". Let's rock & let's bop till the dawn...
